Budget airlines to Surat Thani plus a joined-up bus and ferry to Nathon or Lipa Noi. Book as one ticket and the connections wait for each other.

Train or bus + ferry — overnight

The classic: sleeper to Surat Thani, morning bus to Donsak, ferry across. Slow, cheap and scenic — and the night ferry from Surat town is the adventurous shortcut.
