What this site stores, which is almost nothing.
This site is static HTML files. There is no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no advertising network, no cookie banner and no cookie set by us. There is no comment field, no newsletter and no account.
The host, Simply.com A/S in Denmark, records the technically necessary data when a page is fetched: IP address, time, the file requested and the browser identification. This is needed to run the site securely.
The number in the footer counts how many different people visited on a given day. It stores no IP address. The IP, the browser identification and the date are turned into a salted hash, and only that hash is stored; the day's list of hashes is deleted automatically after four days. What remains is the date, the number of visitors and the number of page views. No cookie is set and nothing is shared with anyone.
The typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your IP address reaches Google when a page loads. This is the only third-party request the site makes, and it is on the list to be removed by hosting the fonts here instead.
Links marked as commission links lead to Agoda, GetYourGuide or 12go. Once you click, you are on their site and their rules apply; they normally set a cookie so a booking can be attributed.
If you write to info@aboutbankrut.com, your address and message are kept for as long as answering and keeping track of the conversation requires. They are not passed on, and there is no newsletter.
